Thailand is one of those places where no matter how many times I visit (and I have been there a lot), I seem to love it more and more especially Koh Samui island! It is the perfect beach holiday, beautiful scenery, delicious food and amazing Thai culture. My favourite hotel on the island which I have stayed at a few times, and even for my birthday is Tongsai Bay Hotel, a one of a kind!
Words really can’t describe how wonderful this hotel is. Set in its own private bay with a private beach which can sometimes be hard to find in Thailand. Accommodation is set amongst tropical trees and overlooks the pools and beach. There are two amazing pools, one which is only for adults – a beautiful infinity pool.
How to get to Koh Samui from Dubai
Flying Emirates direct to Bangkok and then take a short flight to Koh Samui on Bangkok Airways.
Accommodation – more info
I have previously stayed in the beachfront suites which start at AED 1000 per night depending on the season, but all the accommodation is picture perfect especially the cottages as they have their own private pools.
Tongsai Bay Experience
Apart from the beautiful and picturesque scenery of Tongsai, there are a number of great activities which I highly recommend during your stay. One of my favourites was the Thai cooking class, which is really fun and you learn how to make some of the most famous Thai dishes. I also loved the fruit carving class – it is such an art. The staff at Tongsai really are amazing, and make your stay there so special!
Chef Chom’s Thai restaurant is my most favourite place to have breakfast, set up in the trees with an open plan set up, the buffet selection is just out of this world with so much fresh fruit. The thai buffet nights are also really great with live Thai dancers during the evening.
Po-Lad Beach Bistro and Bar is your go to restaurant on the beach for lunch and dinner, just beautiful, with so much authentic thai food soo delicious.
