Set in the heart of Dubai, this little Gem of a Thai Restaurant has some amazing views of the city serving delicious and authentic Thai dishes and atmosphere. I have travelled to Thailand many times and its one of my favourite cuisines.Β Benjarong at the Dusit Thani Hotel DubaiΒ gives you a true taste of Thailand.

When you walk straight into the restaurant there is beautiful decorative wooden decor and furniture everywhere, which brought me back to my travels to Thailand. We sat by the window at lunch looking out onto the Burj Khalifa.

I am a huge lover of Satay having grown up with it as a child living in Asia. The beef satay we had at Benjarong was really delicious and beautifully presented.

I love Papaya salad (Som Tum Thai), but when I saw a pomelo salad on the menu with chicken and dried shrimps I had to try it ( Yum Som O) as I am a huge fan of Pomelo. The salad was really delicious and I highly recommend trying it.

For the main course we went for grilled Tiger Prawns and crispy battered soft shell crab (Pu Nim Phad Prig Thai Dum). Which if you have never tried soft shell crab then you must, it is a really delicious dish and brought me back to my lunches on the beach. Thai fried rice is my favourite and I enjoyed the vegetable and egg fried rice with the other dishes we ordered.

There is a really nice private room, which can be booked for groups of 5 – 6 people (to be booked in advance). A nice place for dinner with a group of friends overlooking the hustle and bustle of the city.
