Of all the brunches I have been to, I have never been to one quite so authentic as the Italian brunch at Mercato. Set in the Italian quarter of DIFC, next to the fountains is this wonderful little gem of a restaurant with a real rustic Italian Marketplace feel, and authentic delicious Italian dishes. It was a first for me trying an Italian brunch and it was an amazing spread of food that of course included some delicious pizza and pasta!

The quaint little shop front really makes you feel like you are sitting outside in Europe, and those pastries were delicious!

Mercato’s weekend brunch menu has a great selection of food for all, we tried their Family Brunch selection, which includes a cooked breakfast of eggs and mushrooms, an amazing spread of cold cuts and cheese(with delicious truffles), fresh juices, coffee, and a choice of pancakes or french toast. The restaurant has a daily selection of pizza slices, which are also great to grab for lunch, homemade pastas and pastries. You literally will not need to eat all day after this fabulous brunch, its a feast and great for sharing! We ordered a side of pizza and pasta too! If you want some great recommendations of what to order, have a chat with Grazia she knows what you should order 🙂 Make sure to check out @MercatoAE on Instagram.

The cold cuts and cheese spread was great, I am a huge fan of spreads like these for breakfast and lunch. I loved Mercato’s coffee too I had a latte with almond milk, which is available on request.

The Nutella pancakes were INSANE and are a must try, as well as the cheese ravioli, the most delicious pasta I have ever had in Dubai.

I loved the cosy interior of the restaurant I can imagine working there with a cup of coffee and a slice of pizza, the restaurant really inspired me to travel to Italy as I have never been before.
